Panto is over for another year. Eight shows done, and the audiences loved it!!!!!! Big Howard little Howard absolute stars! The company worked hard to put on fantastuc performances – and the get-out (strike) went well last night. All starting to be cleaned and packed away! See you at Dick Whittington!!
Another two good shows. A little ‘sparkle’ missing, but once people are getting the right amount of energy, it’s working. Big Howard Little Howard fantastic, and going down a storm with the audience!
Well, it seems to run a little long, and lines aren’t always there, but this is a fab show! Well done to all involved!
Panto opens today. We’ve had a busy few days, tech-ing and dress-ing…… Some technical problems, and a few issues with lines – but we’re ready! A fabulous cast and a fantastic crew mean this is going to be a great panto!
The set has arrived, and Abanazar’s hideout is enormous!! Otherwise, a fantastic set and we have nearly finished hanging the cloths and fixing the prosc.
Band call today and I must say the music sounds brilliant! Steve Parker (MD / Keyboard) has arranged some fantastic parts – and the guys played excellently – Ian Killoran (Reeds), Gareth Covey-Crump (Bass), Les Arnols (Drums) and Mark Drapeau (Percussion) – all fantastic!
The cast joined us for singing in the evening, and are sounding great!
One bit of bad news – Howard Read had has laptop stolen with Little Howard on it! ARGH!!!!!!! Will the show go on……..?! (Don’t worry kids – oh yes it will!)
We had a full runthrough today – but sadly a number of the company were missing (one chorus, one child, one Spirit of the Ring and one Princess). Steve Parker (MD) came along – and we ran the whole show from start to finish. Act 1 ran better than Act 2. Tina was there to view and help direct – which as ever is brilliant and a real help to the show to have fresh eyes (she last saw this show at an early rehearsal)…. Some people need to revisit their lines, as this was the last runthrough before tech! The tension as we get closer to show week mounts!
Great rehearsal today. Howard and Little Howard hilarious! Song and dance routines coming together, script being learned! We even practiced two magic tricks today!!! Roll on panto! (Some tickets still available 01582767525)
Tickets are going well for Aladdin. If you haven’t got yours yet, call the box office on 01582767525 – Aladdin at the Eric Morecambe Theatre, Harpenden Public Halls, starring Big Howard Little Howard……..
Another good rehearsal. Gemma as Aladdin and Chrissie as Balroubadour (the Princess) are really strong, they are very watchable…… The others are fab too. Dom’s karate moves are impressive!!!
